Universal Networks International appoints MD, Central Europe

Universal Networks International has named Tariq Syed the managing director, Central Europe. Syed, in the newly created role, will work to establish NBC Universal's international pay-TV channels in Central Europe and further UNI's presence on affiliate platforms. He will report to Colin McLeod, managing director, emerging markets EMEA. Previously, Syed was vice president, business development for NBC Universal International.
