March 2, 2011

71 Degrees North, the reality series that challenges celebrity contestants to brave the elements in a race to the 71st parallel north, will return on ITV1 for a second series.

Banijay International has announced that ITV1 has recommissioned the format, to be produced by Fever Media. Season two is set to air later this year and will see 10 celebrities tackling the Norwegian highlands climate in a 2,000 km journey. Each episode follows two teams going from the south of Norway all the way north to Nordcap (71 degrees north) in extremely tough conditions.
