CNN to broadcast HBO doc on Triangle factory fire

It has been 100 years since the catastrophic fire in a New York City factory, and to mark the anniversary, CNN will present the HBO documentary Triangle: Remembering the Fire.

It has been 100 years since the the catastrophic Triangle factory fire in New York City, and to mark the anniversary, CNN will present the HBO documentary Triangle: Remembering the Fire.

Airing on the news network on March 26, the doc tells the story of the 1911 fire that broke out at the Triangle Waist Company, trapping 146 mostly immigrant women and teenage girls inside. It was the worst disaster at a workplace in New York State until 9/11.

“We are so pleased that CNN has chosen to recognize this important documentary by broadcasting it on the network,” commented Sheila Nevins, president, HBO Documentary Films.

The documentary from director/producer Daphne Pinkerson and producer Marc Levin debuted on HBO on March 21 .
