A+E Networks is continuing its European roll-out of Crime & Investigation Network (CIN), launching the channel in the Benelux region next month.

The channel will launch in the Netherlands on July 4 via cable operator Ziggo, subtitled in Dutch. The platform claims 2.1 million subscribers. CIN will be programmed and operated in the Netherlands by AETN UK, a joint venture between A+E Networks and BSkyB.

AETN UK MD Tom Davidson said: “The launch on Ziggo is the first for CIN in the Benelux region, but follows many successful launches by AETN UK in Poland, Serbia, Bulgaria and Croatia.

“There is significant consumer appetite for investigative programming, so we have high hopes for this channel, which is already a high performer in the UK and Central and Eastern Europe.”

The news comes after CIN was launched in Spain in February.
