On the heels of Oprah Winfrey Network’s first Emmy nominations for World of Wonder’s Becoming Chaz, OWN has slated a follow-up doc special, Chaz & Jen, for the fall.

Chaz & Jen will debut this fall on OWN, following Chaz Bono and his girlfriend Jennifer Elia and their lives together after Bono’s gender transformation surgery.

Becoming Chaz launched the OWN Documentary Club, and is the story of the personal transformation undertaken by the only child of Sonny & Cher, born as Chastity Bono, as he undertakes gender reassignment surgery to become a man. The doc received three primetime Emmy nominations, for outstanding non-fiction special, outstanding directing for non-fiction programming and outstanding picture editing for non-fiction programming.

Both the film and the upcoming special are directed and produced by World of Wonder’s Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato.

“We’re so proud to be a part of Chaz’s remarkable journey and we are thrilled for Randy, Fenton and Chaz.  This is a great beginning for the OWN Documentary Club,” said Lisa Erspamer, executive vice president, production and development, OWN.  “We can’t wait to bring the next chapter of Chaz’s story to viewers in this new special. “
