The East European Forum has put a call out to filmmakers seeking funding for its forthcoming 11th edition, setting a September 1 deadline for applicants.

The Forum – which takes place October 24-30 in Jihlava, Czech Republic – bills itself as the region’s largest meeting of East European documentary filmmakers with leading international commissioning editors, distributors, buyers and film fund representatives attending.

Directors and independent producers offer their projects for coproduction, pre-sale or other forms of financial support.

The 11th edition of the Forum will offer 24 Eastern European projects the chance to pitch to some 50 international commissioning editors, buyers, sales agents, distributors, film fund and festival representatives, with more than 350 international industry guests set to attend.

More than 60 documentary films have been completed with the direct support of the East European Forum since its inception in 2001, according to the event.
