Tricon adds to distribution team

Nick Solowski comes to the Toronto-based producer/distributor as manager of international sales and acquisitions.

Toronto-based producer/distributor Tricon FilmsĀ & Television is bolstering its distribution team with the addition of Nick Solowski as manager of international sales and acquisitions.

Solowski’s responsibilities will include acquiring new content as well as all in-flight sales initiatives and content sales to Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

The new hire comes to Tricon from Spafax Canada Inc., where he was in-flight entertainment manager, responsible for acquiring and programming content for Air Canada flights, as well as directing the airline’s enRoute Short Film Festival. Prior to that post, Solowski held positions at Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Distribution TV Sales and Odeon Films.

“Nick’s wealth of experience in film and television programming and distribution make him a great addition to our team as we continue to expand our international sales strategy,” said Jon Rutherford, Tricon’s VP of international sales and acquisitions.
