CBSSports.com will debut a 10-part web series ahead of the Showtime premiere of feature doc A Game of Honor (pictured), a Showtime and CBS coproduced film focusing on the athletes participating in the U.S. Army-Navy football game.

Ahead of the December 21 Showtime TV premiere of the feature doc, the web series will premiere on October 17, and will run for 10 weeks. A Game of Honor focuses on the football programs at U.S. military academy West Point and the U.S. naval academy Annapolis.

The short-form web series will delve into the back stories of the characters from the film, and each episode will debut weekly until the film premieres on Showtime.  The documentary goes into the lives of the student athletes at West Point and Annapolis as they prepare to serve their country and participate in am Army-Navy football game.

Showtime says the doc will give viewers “a behind-the-scenes look at the pressures, challenges, joys and friendships that are unique to the cadets and midshipmen each football season,” adding that “the athletes will be seen preparing not only for their battle on the football field, but for their future careers as servicemen.”
