Canada’s APTN network has commissioned The Other Side, a  13 x 30-minutes documentary series from Toronto-based RedCloud Studios and Saskatoon- and Regina-based Bamboo Shoots, which follows a mentalist and his team of paranormal experts.

The doc series will begin shooting in June 2012 and will air on APTN in 2013. It shines the light on self-professed mentalist Jeff Richards, who brings his Aboriginal background and a desire to explore mysteries to each case of paranormal activity. Richards’ team is made up of healers, elders and shaman.

The show is being billed as an “innovative examination of the chilling unknown, wrapped around a vital Native heartbeat.”

The Other Side is a coproduction between Bamboo Shoots and Toronto-based producer Jennifer Podemski of RedCloud Studios.
