Target, Back2Back pair up for “Royal Babies”

London-based distributor Target Entertainment and prodco Back2back Productions are collaborating once again on a new documentary, Royal Babies.

London-based distributor Target Entertainment and prodco Back2back Productions are collaborating once again on a new documentary, Royal Babies.

The one-hour special looks at “the bizarre and magnificent world of royal children,” following a busy year of British royal weddings, with Prince William and Kate Middleton marrying, as well as Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall.

Royal Babies marks the fourth copro for Target and Back2Back, after The Changing Face Of…; Kate and The Real Housewives of Anglesey; and In Search of Pippa Middleton, for Bio in the UK.

With the recent changes to the rules of royal succession - the first born is now first in line to the throne regardless of gender – this one-off special explores the history of royal babies, including the customs and traditions celebrating their births and what life is like for a royal infant. The doc is also billed as including interviews with people close to the royals during those formative years.

Target holds all international rights to Royal Babies, which is available in high definition.
