North Hollywood-based Pie Town Productions, the company behind such reality series asĀ Joan Knows Best: The Joan & Melissa Rivers Show; House Hunters and Downsized, has announced three hires to its development team and two promotions in its production department.

On the development side, the company hired former Synthetic Pictures head of development Nicole Henrich as VP of development; Sarah O’Neil as development producer and Mimi Vengoechea as development coordinator.

“We have an aggressive development line up that spans celebrity docusoap, travel and workplace drama and are hitting the ground running for 2012,” Henrich said.

The prodco also promoted Samantha Leonard to VP of production and Dana Besnoy to VP of post-production. “These are two crucial positions that will ensure the success of our productions,” said partner Tara Sandler. “I have every confidence that Sam and Dana can pull off the huge orders that are on our plate right now.”
