Autlook, Sideways take on Wadja Studios docs

Vienna-based Autlook Filmsales will handle distribution for the Polish studio's Losing Sonia (pictured), while London-based Sideways Films will shop Paparazzi and 3 Days of Freedom.

Three documentaries from Polish production company/film school Wadja Studios have been picked up for international distribution.

Vienna-based Autlook Filmsales will handle distribution for Losing Sonia (pictured), directed by Radka Franczak and coproduced by Otter Films. The film focuses on Sonia, a young nun living in a Russian monastery.

London-based Sideways Films will shop Piotr Bernas’ Paparazzi, the first Polish film to focus on the profession. The distributor has also picked up 3 Days of Freedom from director Lukasz Borowski, which follows a man who is given a three-day pass out of prison after 15 years as he attempts to navigate the twists and turns of the modern world.

Both Losing Sonia and 3 Days of Freedom recently had their international premieres at the Visions du Reel festival in Switzerland, which wraps today.
