OWN’s “Six Little McGhees” gets December airdate

U.S. cable network OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network will premiere Six Little McGhees, a docuseries featuring a family with sextuplets, on December 15.

The series, which was previously unveiled at Discovery Communications’ most recent Upfront Presentation, will follow the McGhee¬†family’s lives, from doctor visits and church services to the sextuplets’ second birthday party.

The family, headed up by Mia and Rozonno¬†(Ro) McGhee, are joined by a handful of volunteers, including Ro’s mother, to take care of six toddlers: Josiah, Madison, Olivia, Isaac, Rozanno Jr. and Elijah.

The series is produced by Candor Entertainment, with Philip Sternberg and Joe Sorge serving as executive producers, in conjunction with Discovery Fit & Health and OWN. An encore airing of Six Little McGhees will air on Discovery Fit & Health in early 2013.
