Lisa Berger exits from E!

The president of programming at E! Entertainment, the U.S. cable net behind Keeping Up With the Kardashians, is leaving the company after nine years.

Lisa Berger, president of programming at U.S. cable net E! Entertainment, has resigned after nine years with the company.

Berger oversaw such E! unscripted series as Keeping Up With the Kardashians and its affiliated spin-offs, as well as The Girls Next Door and Ice Loves Coco, among others.

She joined E! Networks in 2003 as senior vice president of programming development, coming to the NBC Universal company after four years as executive vice president, creative affairs for Fox Television Studios Production (FTVSP), and 12 years at MTV Networks, where she served as senior vice president of original programming and series development.

While no reason was given for her resignation, Berger said in a statement: “I look forward to sharing the news of my next challenge in the months ahead.”

“My time at E! has been an amazing experience both professionally and personally, and it is hard to sum up nearly a decade of show launches, milestone moments and incredible friendships,” she said. “I am extremely proud of all of our accomplishments taking the network to record heights and forever grateful to my team whose talent and dedication knows no bounds.”

E! president Suzanne Kolb said Berger’s “passion and commitment to her work and her team are unparalleled, and she will be dearly missed.”
