Global formats alliance Sparks Network has added two new prodco members: Flare Media from the Netherlands and Medialuso from Portugal.

The Medialuso addition marks the first prodco from Portugal to join the Sparks Network. Medialuso is one of the biggest production companies in the country, and its output includes global live sports events and international reality shows, including the Endemol format Secret Story, for TVI in Portugal.

Flare Media produces multi-platform work, including reality TV soap Talent Factory. The company was started by internet entrepreneurs, television producers, TV presenters and channel managers.

Sparks, which has more than 25 member companies around the world and offices in Stockholm and Hong Kong, sold a majority stake to Ecchomedia last year.

“Flare Media and Medialuso are two first-rate production outfits,” said Nicola Söderlund, managing director at Sparks Network. “Their endless expertise, insight and ideas will be of great benefit to the members of our entertainment network. We can’t wait to get started with them.”
