BuzzTaxi sends “Untamed Gourmet,” “Patent Bending” to Asia

The Toronto-based factual distributor made deals for Canadian series Untamed Gourmet (pictured) and Patent Bending in Asia, and Room to Grow in South Africa.

Toronto-based factual distributor BuzzTaxi Communications has inked a raft of international sales for series including Untamed Gourmet and Patent Bending.

TV4 Singapore picked up TV rights to Canadian wild food series Untamed Gourmet (12 x 30-minutes) from Saskatchewan’s 291 Film Company, and China’s CCTV 10 took cable rights to Patent Bending (14 x 30-minutes) from Toronto-based Boxing Cats Productions.

South Africa’s Home Channel signed a pay-TV deal for Real Designing Women (10 x 30-minutes), which airs on HGTV in the U.S. and is produced by Firvalley Productions, and the fifth season of outdoor space improvement show Room to Grow (65 x 30-minutes), from Toronto-based AJE Productions.

In France, AB Groupe signed a multi-territory French-language deal for one-off specials Science of the Soul (1 x 70-minutes) and Age of Anxiety (1 x 60-minutes), both from Associated Producers.

Elsewhere, Ship2Shore TV’s cruise lifestyle series Ship2Shore (13 x 30-minutes) has been licensed for in-flight entertainment to Air Canada, Thai Airways and Finnair.
