MTV preps “Big Tip Texas,” “Scrubbing In”

U.S. cable network MTV has given October air dates to Big Tip Texas and Scrubbing In, the latter of which was previously known as Nurses

Big Tip Texas, produced by Breitenbach Creative + Media, premieres October 9 at 10 p.m. EST/PST with back-to-back episodes. The series looks at girlfriends working at a bar outside of Dallas, Texas.

The cast includes a gifted student saving money to go back to college; Typhani, the boss; Claire, the bar’s top bartender; and a number of newbies. The 14-part series follows the women both at work and during their free time.

Big Tips Texas is exec produced by Ross Breitenbach, and by Shannon Fitzgerald and Tiffany Lea Williams for MTV. Tamar Zohar and Brittany Lutz are the executives in charge of production for the series.

Meanwhile, Scrubbing In premieres on October 24 at 10 p.m. EST. The series chronicles the lives of nine traveling nurses as they are relocated to a hospital in Orange County, California for 12 weeks.

The cast includes veterans Tyrice, Chris, Fernando and Adrian, and first-timers Chelsey, Michelle, Crystal, Nikki and Heather.

Scrubbing In is exec produced by Mark Cronin and Joel Rodgers from Never Nominated, and by Fitzgerald and David Osper for MTV. Janay Dutton and Nick Predescu are the executives in charge of production.
