Bravo ups Christy Dees to development VP

Formerly director of development, Dees (pictured) will now develop original programming and serve as executive producer on reality series Thicker Than Water as VP of development.

Bravo Media has promoted director of development Christy Dees (pictured) to vice president of development.

Based in Los Angeles, Dees will develop original programming for U.S. cable net Bravo and serve as executive producer on the forthcoming reality series Thicker Than Water. She will report to Lara Spotts, VP of development for Bravo Media.

“Christy’s impeccable understanding of the Bravo brand coupled with her infectious passion for reality television have earned her a winning track record in her three year’s here,” said Spotts in a statement. “We can’t wait to see where Christy takes us as a VP.”

As director of development, Dees’ credits included Shahs of Sunset, Newlyweds: The First Year and Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis.

Before joining Bravo she was an executive at Bravo’s now-defunct sister channel, The Style Network, and worked as vice president of development for Original Productions, where she developed Monster House and the Deadliest Catch prequel, America’s Deadliest Season. She was also director of development at FX.
