UK net BBC2 has ordered a Christmas special starring British hotelier and TV host Alex Polizzi (pictured).

Produced by Twofour, Alex Polizzi’s Perfect Christmas (one x 60 minutes, working title) will share hospitality industry trade secrets for maximal festive decorating, and go behind-the-scenes at department store Fortnum and Mason, and at the Christmas lights at London’s Covent Garden.

“I love everything about Christmas,” Polizzi said in a statement. “It’s all about extravagance, beauty and welcoming guests into your home.”

The series will be executive produced by Melanie Leach and Dan Adamson for Twofour, and by Tom Edwards, commissioning editor for BBC Knowledge. The special was commissioned by BBC2 controller Janice Hadlow and Alice Kirkham, the network’s head of commissioning, factual features and formats.
