Sony Pictures Television, “Biggest Loser” creator sign overall deal

Sony Pictures Television and producer Dave Broome (pictured) have signed a two-year overall deal to create unscripted television series.

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and producer Dave Broome (pictured) have signed a two-year overall deal to create unscripted television series.

Broome will create and produce content through his company 25/7 Productions. His credits include creating and exec producing The Biggest Loser, coproducing the Spanish-language docuseries Dale Con Ganas with Gloria and Emilo Estefan’s prodco Estefan Enterprises, producing the sports doc Two Days in April for Netflix, and digital series including AOL’s Jocks & Jills. 

SPT is known for producing Shark Tank, The Sing-Off, The Queen Latifah Show and The Dr. Oz Show. 

“Dave has a great track record of producing captivating unscripted series that resonate with viewers,” said Holly Jacobs, SPT’s executive VP for U.S. reality and syndicated programming.

Broome added: “Holly and the entire team at SPT are true forces of nature in our business and I couldn’t be more excited to be working together as we continue to grow 25/7 Productions.”
