ID, FYI, WE tv sign on as NYTVF development partners

Cable networks Investigation Discovery, FYI, WE tv and producer FremantleMedia North America will be among the development partners at the 2014 New York Television Festival.

Eight more networks and producers will participate in this fall’s New York Television Festival (NYTVF).

Cable networks Investigation Discovery, FYI, WE tv and producer FremantleMedia North America will joining returning nets National Geographic Channel, Channel 4′s entertainment division, SundanceTV and TruTV as unscripted development partners.

The companies join previously announced development partners A&E, Comedy Central, History and Lionsgate/Sea to Sky.

Structured similarly to the television development model, the NYTVF provides independent producers opportunities the chance to meet and work with established industry players.

During the 10th annual festival, which takes place this fall, each of the partners will offer a development award to finalists and/or semi-finalists from the 2014 competitions.  Submission information, deadlines and creative briefs can be found at nytvf.com/deals.
