U.S. cable network BET has ordered a trio of reality shows starring singer Keyshia Cole (pictured), rapper Nelly, and actors Tamela and David Mann.
The Untitled Keyshia Cole Project (6 x 30 minutes) is the R&B star’s third series for the Viacom-owned network, following Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is and Keyshia & Daniel: Family First.
Produced by DuBose Entertainment and Imani Entertainment Group, the show follows Cole as she juggles her career, marriage to NBA player Daniel Gibson, motherhood and sibling rivalry. Cole also serves as executive producer alongside James DuBose, Manny Halley and Kai Bowe.
Meanwhile, the as-yet-untitled, eOne-produced Nelly project (8 x one hour) will chronicle the life of hip-hop star Nelly, who wears a variety of hats as a father, a working musician, running the fashion line Apple Bottoms, and co-owning the Charlotte Bobcats NBA team.
Nelly is exec producing the show with Tara Long, John Morayniss, Howie Miller, David Shaye, Shanta Conic, Kim McKoy and J Erving.
Finally, the as-yet-untitled Manns project (8 x one hour) focuses on couple Tamela and David, two actors best known for their work in the Tyler Perry film Meet The Browns. The show follows the couple, who have been married for 26 years, as they balance being celebrities, entrepreneurs and parents to four adult children.
The show is produced by eOne and exec produced by the Manns, Long, Miller, McKoy, Roger Bobb and Phil Thornton.
