Mom’s Time Out, a role reversal social experiment show, is to be Lifetime Asia’s first original production.
Premiering on August 28, the reality series features mothers from three families in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines vacationing together for five days in Vietnam, while their typically hands-off husbands manage the kids and the household.
The 5 x 30 minute episodes, which focus on family and Asian culture, are sponsored by Angsana Lăng Cô., Central Vietnam; KidZania Kuala Lampur; Sanrio Hello Kitty Town; the Little Big Club; and Huggies Singapore.
“We wanted to explore the idea that being a mom is an attitude and not just a biological relation, so we tested this out on three fathers from Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines,” said Chris Humphrey, director of production for A+E Networks Asia. “As our first original production for Lifetime it was a fun and relatable subject for us to cut our teeth on.”
