Distributor Bond/360 has acquired U.S. rights to In Country (pictured), a doc focusing on men who reenact the Vietnam War.

Directed  and produced by Mike Attie and Meghan O’Hara, and playing at DOC NYC in the Big Apple this week, the film follows the men of Delta 2/5(R), who – for one weekend a year – head into the woods of Oregon to reenact battles from the America-Vietnam conflict.

Bond/360 will release the doc in American theaters and via VOD in April 2015.

“This movie delicately shares a fascinating aspect of our culture that few people are aware of,” said Bond/360 CEO Marc Schiller. “But more than the oddity of the reenactments, Mike and Meghan’s film gets to the root of why these men would bring a painful war back to life and its healing process for their PTSD.”

In Country world premiered at the 2014 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and has played a host of global fests, including Hot Docs, the Camden International Film Festival and CPH:DOX.
