Half Yard boosts team with John Jones, Nikki Taub

U.S. prodco Half Yard Productions has named former Animal Planet producer John Jones (pictured, center) and Half Yard showrunner Nikki Taub (left) as executive producers, and hired Lisa Sicari Antenucci (right) as assistant controller.

Jones – a former EP on Animal Planet’s Mudlovin’ Rednecks and supervising producer on the net’s Hillbilly Handfishin’ – will oversee productions for National Geographic, Animal Planet and the Travel Channel as an executive producer, working out of Half Yard’s Maryland headquarters. Prior to joining the prodco, Jones worked in a variety of roles, including as a showrunner for Discovery Channel and as VP of production for The Network Group.

Also joining the company as an EP after two years of serving as a showrunner is Taub, who will be stationed at Half Yard’s New York office and will oversee TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress and My Big Day. Prior to joining the company, Taub worked as director of programming and EP at True Entertainment.

Finally, Antenucci – who was formerly the director of production accounting for National Geographic Television – is joining the company as assistant controller, and is to oversee the finances of Half Yard shows, financial reporting and systems implementation. She will be based in Bethesda, Maryland.
