HGTV has picked up the one-hour pilot Three Dads and a House (pictured)from Los Angeles- and Toronto-based producer Essential 11 Television.

The program, which is currently in production, features LA-based boutique home restoration firm Re-Inhabit Group.

The news comes as two series produced by the company premiere on Scripps Networks Interactive-owned DIY Network in the coming weeks: Backflip (4 x 30 minutes), starring restoration expert Brett Waterman; and Texas Flip n’ Move (9 x 60 minutes), in which three family businesses in Fort Worth compete to locate, move, reno and sell homes for the highest price.

Additionally, the first season of docu-comedy Fool’s Gold (8 x 30 minutes), which already premiered on Discovery Canada, will begin airing on Animal Planet in the U.S. on January 15.

Essential 11 is also in post-production on Made Up (13 x 30 minutes), a hidden camera prank show that will air on Disney Channel and YTV Canada; and is also working on the second season of Fool’s Gold (12 x 30 minutes).
