ITV Studios America has signed an overall deal with producer Mark Efman (pictured) to create, develop and produce non-scripted projects for the studio through his banner Big Energy Productions.

Efman, who will be based in New York, has set up projects at A&E, History and MTV2 in the last year, in addition to the upcoming reality competition series Cedric’s Barber Battle, starring Cedric The Entertainer, which will air this spring on the CW network.

Bruce Robertson, ITV Studios America’s exec VP of creative strategy, said Efman’s track record over the past 12 months “is a testament to the breadth of content that he’s able to craft.”

Prior to Big Energy, Efman was a partner in MarkMark Productions, responsible for a number of programs including the IFC comedy series Z Rock, MTV’s Nick Cannon Short Circuitz, A&E’s Biography and Court TV’s Parco PI.

He is repped by Scott Lonker at CAA, and Robert Strent at Grubman Shire & Meiselas, P.C.
