Ricochet’s Simon Knight is moving to All3Media-owned Maverick Television to become CEO.

Formerly Ricochet’s creative director, he will concentrate on growing the London-headquartered producer’s business on both sides of the Atlantic, working alongside chief creative officer Mark Downie and the Maverick team in the UK, and executive VP Adam Greener in the U.S.

He succeeds Jim Sayer - who stepped down earlier this year – and will take up the position in October.

During his tenure at Ricochet, Knight spent two and a half years as creative director and before that worked as director of factual entertainment. His credits include Channel 4 programs Food Unwrapped, Simon Hopkinson Cooks and Superfoods: The Real Story.

Prior to joining Ricochet, he was an executive producer for BBC Bristol, where he worked on BBC1′s DIY SOS and DIY SOS: The Big Build.

Maverick has offices in London and Los Angeles as well as a digital team in Birmingham. Its credits include Channel 4′s Embarrassing Bodies, CBBC’s Operation Ouch and ITV’s Billy Connolly’s Route 66.
