Orion Entertainment boosts development team

Building Alaska producer Orion Entertainment has added two executives to its development team.

Allison Boon (pictured, left) has joined the company from RIVR Media and will assume the newly created role of VP of development, while former High Noon Entertainment associate Katie Fimple (right) boards the company as director of development. Both will report to Orion CEO Chris Dorsey.

Boon, who previously served as RIVR Media’s director of development, has produced more than 200 hours of TV including History’s Modern Marvels, H2′s Ancient Aliens, Travel Channel’s Food Paradise, WE tv’s Prison Diaries and The Weather Channel’s Fat Guys in the Woods. She has also worked on a number of indie feature films, notably Forks Over Knives.

Fimple, meanwhile, has previously worked as an associate and casting producer for High Noon, with credits including The Cooking Channel’s Taco Trip and GRUBsessed. She has also held field production, casting and coordination roles for a number of series on Discovery, Animal Planet, The Weather Channel and Travel Channel.
