Israeli distributor-producer Keshet International and Argentina’s Telefe have inked a copro deal to create original entertainment formats for the international market.

Under the production deal, Keshet and Telefe – which previously partnered on Argentinian adaptations of Boom! and Rising Star  - will co-finance and co-develop the projects. They will develop two pilots per year for initial broadcast in Israel and Argentina, with projects already underway. Keshet will retain the international distribution rights for the resulting titles.

The deal  was brokered by Keshet International’s Kelly Wright, sales director for the region.

“Having worked with Telefe on Elegidos (Rising Star), we encountered an enthusiastic, creative team with exceptional drive and skill,” said Wright in a statement. “Tomas Yankelevich [Telefe's global content and international business director] has a world-class understanding of entertainment and leads a talented group of experienced producers.”
