Ray J will host a reality dating series titled Driven to Love for WE tv.

In each episode of the series, the actor, musician and Love and Hip-Hop: Hollywood star will get behind the wheel of a “tricked-out SUV” and drive a contestant around town in search of potential mates. During the trip, the host will hand-select candidates and supervise dates both inside and outside the vehicle.

“Our single rider can choose to drive by a potential mate, stop to pick them up, or kick someone already in their ride straight to the curb,” the network said in a statement. “At the end of the day they’ll choose one match to join them for a romantic weekend getaway in the hopes of building a new relationship.”

The U.S. cable net has placed an 8 x 60-minute episode order for the series. The channel is billing the show as a real-life version of dating apps.

Lion Television is producing Driven to Love, which is based on a format created by Matar Productions and Zig Zag Productions. Executive producers are Lion’s Tony Tackaberry and Allison Corn, Zig Zag’s Danny Fenton and Matt Graff and Matar’s Ami Amir and Lilach Dekel.

Ray J, Knockout Entertainment and David Weintraub/DWE Talent are also exec producing.  Lauren Gellert, David Stefanou and Kate Farrell will exec produce for the network.
