FYI names Paul Greenberg EVP and general manager

The former CEO of fashion, music and pop culture media brand Nylon heads up the A+E lifestyle network following Jana Bennett's move to History.

A+E’s executive search for an FYI topper has ended, with Paul Greenberg named as EVP and general manager of the lifestyle network.

Greenberg, the former CEO of fashion, lifestyle and pop culture media brand Nylon, moves into the slot vacated by Jana Bennett upon her appointment as president and GM of sister network History.

The New York-based Greenberg also served as president of global dance music company SFX, prior to Nylon, and before that post, was CEO of IAC’s CollegeHumor.

In 2009, he held the post of EVP and GM at TV Guide Digital, and before that, held executive posts at digital music provider MediaNet and MTV Networks.

“I am very excited to be able to bring Paul into the A+E Networks fold to head up FYI,” said A+E Networks president and CEO Nancy Dubuc in a statement. “Paul has his finger on the pulse of the dynamic lifestyle world. Coupled with his rich background in media and technology, I know he will lead the team to take FYI to the next level in both the linear and digital realms.”

Before her move to History, Bennett had FYI and LMN under her oversight. It is understood that LMN’s SVP of development and programming Laura Fleury now reports to Lifetime and A&E EVP and GM, Robert Sharenow.

Greenberg begins his post at FYI on January 19.
