Red Arrow ups James Baker to president

The Munich-based media group has elevated James Baker (pictured), MD of Red Arrow UK and global scripted strategy, to the post of president.

Munich-based Red Arrow Entertainment Group has elevated James Baker (pictured) to the post of president.

Baker, who most recently served as MD of Red Arrow UK and global scripted strategy, will see his role expanded to include oversight of the group’s global production operations, strategic initiatives and expansion plans. In addition, Baker will retain oversight of Red Arrow UK’s businesses and global scripted strategy.

He will continue to report to Jan Frouman, Red Arrow chairman and CEO.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group-owned company is comprised of 15 production outfits across six countries, including Orion Entertainment, Karga Seven and Ripple Entertainment. The group also consists of global distributor Red Arrow International.

Additionally, Red Arrow boasts creative partnerships and joint ventures with Studio71, STV Productions, The Imaginarium Studios and Sync Media.

Red Arrow Entertainment most recently partnered with execs Patrick Milling-Smith and Brian Carmody of UK prodco Smuggler to invest in Cove Pictures.

“Given recent organizational changes and the rapid growth of our portfolio, we have to find ways to increase our management bandwidth and efficiency,” said Frouman, member of the executive board for ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, in a statement. “Elevating James was an obvious choice.”
