Charlotte homicide cop to star in ID series

Investigation Discovery has greenlit I Am Homicide, a true-crime series about Charlotte-based homicide detective Garry McFadden.

Produced by Blackfin, the series is in production and will premiere on the Discovery-owned cable net in June.

In the one-hour show, cameras follow McFadden Рwho has appeared on the A&E series The First 48 Рas he recounts how he solved the most difficult of the 700 cases he has worked on in his 35-year career.

He has a 90% success rate, according to the network, which is promising a series that will “help viewers understand both the intricacies of detective work and the incredible legacy Garry is creating in Charlotte.”

Executive producers for Blackfin are Geno McDermott, Alexa Conway and Patrick Conway. Diana Sperrazza is exec producing for the network.
