UK broadcaster Sky will air a documentary about the life and work of David Attenborough on Saturday (April 30).

Produced by Atlantic Productions for Sky and ABC Australia, Attenborough at 90: Behind the Lens (one x 60 minutes) profiles the English naturalist and television presenter over the most recent decade of his career. Since turning 80, the natural history documentary legend has produced 11 projects using 3D, 4K and VR technology.

The doc, which was made for the occasion of Attenborough’s 90th birthday, was shot over seven years and follows him as he travels to Borneo, Morocco and the Galapagos to shoot wildlife specials.

Attenborough at 90: Behind the Lens was executive produced by Anthony Geffen and directed by Anne Sommerfield.

Last fall, the BBC’s Natural History Unit announced it was producing a documentary to mark Attenborough’s 90th as well as the special Light on Earth, hosted by the presenter. The pubcaster will air a week of Attenborough-related programming beginning May 7.
