Turner has recruited IMG executive Michael Bloom (pictured) to head up unscripted for networks TBS and TNT.

He replaces David Eilenberg who left the company last month to become president at ITV Entertainment.

Effective June 20, Bloom will oversee creative development and production for unscripted programming across all platforms for both brands as senior VP of unscripted series and specials.

“We have ambitions to inject some different thinking in the unscripted arena,” said Turner chief creative officer Kevin Reilly in a statement. “I’ve known and worked with Michael for years and I’m looking forward to what comes from having his tremendous energy and relationships aimed at that target.”

Bloom most recently served as senior VP of talent management firm IMG’s original content division and prior to that he was the executive development consultant for AMC, where he helped establish the cable net’s non-fiction department.

Bloom also worked in programming for Fox Sports Media Group and in marketing for MTV early in his career.
