DIY greenlights beach home reno series

DIY Network has ordered the series Big Beach Builds. The 12-episode series follows contractor and fifth-generation builder Marnie Oursler as she restores classic homes in the beachside community of Bethany Beach, Delaware. The show will premiere in the year’s fourth quarter.

DOC NYC expands industry programming

DOC NYC has expanded programming for its industry conference, DOC NYC PRO. This year’s event, which takes place November 11 to 17, will include a day devoted to conversations with the filmmakers behind 15 of the year’s best docs; four days of networking sessions with decision makers in financing, post-production, distribution and festival programming; and Pitch Perfect, a day-long pitch session featuring six work-in-progress projects.
