Ross, Pastore to co-chair Summit advisory board

On the heels of another successful Realscreen West, attention turns once again to our flagship event, the Realscreen Summit.

Coming up on its 19th year, the Washington DC-set event is the definitive global market and conference for unscripted and non-fiction entertainment, and the 2016 edition at the Marriott Marquis welcomed 2,351 delegates from 29 countries.

Now, as we begin to gear up for next year’s conference, Realscreen has named National Geographic Channels’ Tim Pastore (pictured above, left) and Discovery Communications’ Rich Ross (right) as co-chairs of the Summit advisory board.

Pastore is president of original programming and production for all NGC unscripted programming globally. He oversees the development, production and operations teams in New York, Washington DC and London, and also looks after the company’s in-house production unit, National Geographic Studios.

Ross, meanwhile, is group president for Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Science Channel, where he oversees all creative and brand strategy, development, production, marketing and day-to-day operations for the trio of nets.

Together, the execs head up an advisory board of world-class leaders from both the production and broadcast sides of the unscripted world.
