UK commercial broadcaster ITV has commissioned the docuseries Devon and Cornwall Blues (working title) from London-based production shop Potato, part of the ITV Studios group.

The 3 x 60-minute primetime series, which will air on ITV this fall, will trail the Devon and Cornwall Police Force to expose the daily challenges of policing more than 700 miles of coastland and towns – the largest geographical force area in England.

The series will offer exclusive insight into the difficulties faced by officers working alone in isolated moorland areas, regulating friends and neighbors in tight-knit communities, and safeguarding the region from the influx of 11 million tourists during the summer months.

Potato’s MD Michael Kelpie and creative director Ed Taylor serve as executive producers on the series, which was developed by head of development Claire Morrison. It was ordered by ITV commissioning editor for factual Priya Singh.
