UK pubcaster Channel 4 has commissioned an investigative police series from London-based shop True Vision Productions.

Manhunt will offer exclusive access to the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit – the largest non-metropolitan force in the UK – as it attempts to capture violent criminals.

Each episode of the 4 x 90-minute series will focus on the pursuit of one criminal, shadowing law enforcement officials and their investigative and forensic work as they deal with murder, kidnappings, armed robbery, child exploitation, and drug and human trafficking.

The series will be filmed over a two-year period and is expected to examine the criminal details of each case from crime through to conviction.

Brian Woods will serve as executive producer on the Jezza Neumann-directed series. The program was commissioned for Channel 4 by Amy Flanagan, deputy head of documentaries.
