A+E Networks business development executive Christian Murphy has been upped to SVP, daytime and programming partnerships.
The promotion was confirmed by Paul Buccieri, president, A+E Studios and A+E Networks Portfolio Group, and Peter Olsen, EVP ad sales at A+E Networks, to whom Murphy will report.
In this position, Murphy will leverage distribution, build audiences and generate incremental revenue through innovative, creative and commercial approaches to content creation and strategic partnerships. Previously, Murphy was SVP, network business development.
In a joint statement Buccieri and Olsen said, “As our industry continues to evolve and models change, revenue diversification through innovative and creative approaches around content and partnerships is key. While keeping creative first, Christian’s new entrepreneurial role will be an important driver in identifying, developing and testing new approaches to revenue generation from a creative content perspective.”
