Montreal-headquartered production outfit Muse Entertainment has appointed former Holmes Group executive Tara Jan as executive in charge of non-scripted production.
Based out of Muse’s Toronto office, Jan will be tasked with overseeing the company’s unscripted programming slate.
Jan currently has executive producer credits on two Muse Entertainment series, including docuseries Collision Course for Reelz Channel in the U.S. and E! in Canada, and reality series The Auto Firm with Alex Vega for Velocity Channel in the U.S. and Discovery International.
Over her near 30-year career in the television industry, Jan has worked across such genres as live television, documentary series, reality, competition and lifestyle programming. She most recently served as co-executive producer on History’s eight-part series Power and Ice for A&E.
Previously, Jan was director of television for Toronto-based The Holmes Group, supervising producer at RTR Media, head of production at Kensington Communications and a supervising producer at Tricon Films & Television.
“We feel privileged to be working with Tara. Her skillset and experience are sure to help us grow as we scale up our development and production operations,” said Jonas Prupas, VP of non-scripted programming, in a statement.
