Sean “Diddy” Combs’ music-centric digital cable net Revolt Media and TV has named industry veteran Robyn Lattaker-Johnson as head of content.
In the new role, Lattaker-Johnson will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of programming, original development, content acquisitions, physical production and post-production. She will also manage long-form video content for Revolt’s digital platforms.
Based out of the company’s Los Angeles offices, Lattaker-Johnson will report directly into Revolt CEO Roma Khanna, who joined the company in September 2017 to lead its growth as a multi-platform content creator and brand.
With more than 20 years’ experience in entertainment, Lattaker-Johnson’s mandate will be to grow Revolt as a home for content and creators in unscripted, documentary and lifestyle programming, all from the hip hop point of view. She will build on Revolt’s current push into the genre as a coproduction partner on Fox’s The Four with ITV America.
Most recently, Lattaker-Johnson owned RLJ Media Management & Consulting where she managed a roster of prodcos, exec producers and showrunners, and unscripted content creators.
Prior to this, she was VP of alternative programming at Syfy, where she developed such series as Face Off, Ghost Hunters and Paranormal Witness. She also previously served as SVP of original programming at BET Networks.
“Robyn’s track record of developing and creating compelling formats featuring authentic voices and diverse stories is exactly what Revolt needs as we build our voice in content as the definitive home of hip hop and the global leader in the culture,” said Khanna in a statement.
