U.S. broadcast TV net Fox is prepping a new special about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle days before they are to tie the knot on May 19.
Produced by Spun Gold and Znak & Co., the two-hour special Meghan Markle: An American Princess will take a look into the lives of the royal couple straight from experts, socialites and friends intimately connected with the House of Windsor.
Meghan Markle: An American Princess will delve into Markle’s life before marrying the future royal, and how both her career as an actress and passion for activism could play a part in her role as a member of the royal family.
Journalist Piers Morgan will provide exclusive commentary on how Markle will have to adapt to her new life in the traditional royal household. Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, will also offer insight into the actresses upbringing and the racial prejudice the pair often faced.
The special will also feature conversations with other figures from Markle’s past, including schoolmates, co-stars and more.
Additionally, Kate Nicholl, a royal correspondent and Prince Harry biographer, along with Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler, will look back at the prince’s childhood.
Meghan Markle: An American Princess bows May 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
