Los Angeles-based production company GRB Entertainment has tapped Chris Powers (pictured) as the new VP of digital development.

With the new title, Powers will lead GRB’s digital strategy, focusing on original programming for digital platforms. He’ll also work on new revenue streams leveraging GRB’s library and international distribution arm.

Powers most recently served as a development executive and head of current programming at LA-based Jukin Media. In that role, he developed and produced digital series for Facebook, go90, Comcast and LOL.

In other hiring news, GRB has added Vanessa McCullers to its team as VP of brand partnerships. Both McCullers and Powers will report to GRB’s COO Marielle Zuccarelli.

“These key roles aim to expand our scope of storytelling and embrace the industry’s desire to connect consumers directly with authentic narratives across multiple platforms,” said Zuccarelli in a statement.
