Universal Television Alternative Studios has tapped Emmy Award nominee Jason Steinberg as head of post-production.

In his new role, Steinberg will be responsible for overseeing post on all current and upcoming studio projects. Additionally, he will team with executives, producers, directors, editors, and external vendors.

Steinberg will report directly to Meredith Ahr, president, Universal Television Alternative Studio.

A veteran editor with more than two decades of experience, Steinberg has worked on various series, including America’s Next Top Model, Bachelor in Paradise, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution and NBC’s forthcoming Making It. He also served as co-executive producer on The Apprentice and The Biggest Loser.

Additionally, Steinberg served as editor on The Bachelor, Shark Tank and The X Factor.

Steinberg started his career working in docuseries editing, primarily on History’s Modern Marvels and Lifetime’s Intimate Portrait.
