Kiel, Germany-based indie Joker Productions has tapped former Relativity Television exec Julie Link as its newest managing director.

In her new role, Link is tasked with expanding originals and development, as well as the company’s global reach of its formats, factual and scripted production and distribution ventures.

She succeeds former managing director Patrick Ach, who has left the company. Florian Reinhardt, creative director, and Julian Lerch, head of programs, remain shareholders of the company and lead creatives.

Link formerly held posts as EVP of development at Relativity Television, and headed up international activity for Critical Content. After relocating from the U.S. to Europe, she continued her role at Critical Content before heading to Joker Productions as a consultant in mid-2017.

Prior to these positions, she held roles at the William Morris Agency, Endemol and Tom Forman Productions/CBS.

Joker Productions, a division of Splendid Group, was founded in 1996 and focuses on non-scripted and scripted programming, with recent projects including Die Wollnys, going into its 10th season, and Voller Leben: Meine letzte Liste, both on RTL II in Germany alongside past successes Die Geissens and Sarah and Pietro.
