Swedish entertainment company and global music streaming service Spotify has name Dawn Ostroff as chief content officer.
Ostroff will lead all aspects of the company’s content partnerships across music, audio and video. The executive joins Spotify from Condé Nast, where she served as president of entertainment. During her tenure at Condé Nast, she executive produced Netflix’s football-focused docuseries Last Chance U and Viceland’s Most Expensivest with rapper 2 Chainz.
Ostroff will be based out of the company’s New York office, where she will report to Spotify co-founder and chief executive Daniel Ek.
Before joining Condé Nast in 2011, the executive held the position of president of entertainment at The CW network. Before that, Ostroff was president of the UPN Network from 2002 to 2006. From 1996 to 2002 she served as EVP of entertainment at Lifetime.
