Los Angeles-based entertainment outfit Herzog & Company has named Andie Beckerman as senior vice president of original programming and development.
Beckerman will be tasked with overseeing all original programming development. She reports directly to company founder and CEO Mark Herzog.
The executive joins Herzog from USA Network and SyFy, where she previously served as VP of development. Beckerman also held multiple roles at AMC prior to joining the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Group-owned networks.
The Emmy Award-winning Herzog & Company’s production stable currently include The Movies, a 12-hour docuseries produced with Tom Hanks’ Playtone for CNN in Summer 2019. For ESPN, the production company is developing two docuseries for Fall 2019 in celebration of the 150th anniversary of college football, The American Game and The Greatest. Elsewhere, for History Channel comes the two-hour documentary Cola Wars, which examines the historic rivalry between Coke and Pepsi, and the true crime documentary special Dirty John: The Dirty Truth for Oxygen.
“Andie’s depth of experience both in developing and seeing through successful productions will undoubtedly be a terrific contribution to Herzog’s talented and inspired creative team,” said Herzog in a statement.
