UK-based indie prodco Back2Back has bolstered its senior production leadership team in an effort to meet increasing demands for new and returning series.
Anna Boronat (pictured) has been appointed to the position of head of production. Claire Hamilton has been upped to the role of senior production executive, while Mitzi David will become junior production executive.
Boronat comes to the role with more than 20 years of industry experience as a line producer and production manager in the UK, including at RDF, Shine, Firecracker and Fever Media. Her credits include BBC1′s MasterChef, TLC’s Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding, ITV’s 71 Degrees North and BBC2′s Repair Shop. She also recently served as a production manager at Back2Back on Duran Duran: There’s Something You Should Know for BBC4.
Hamilton, meanwhile, has previously served as line producer and production manager at several prodcos, including Fresh One and Keo Films. Additionally, she has worked as a locations manager specializing in managing productions in some of the world’s toughest environments. She joined Back2Back in 2016 as a production manager on Cars That Rock with Brian Johnson, and has since managed five Back2Back series as a production executive: Body Cam Cops, Nicholas & Alexandra, The World’s Deadliest Weather, Mega Air and The World’s Deadliest…
David has worked at the freelance level for Back2Back as a production manager since 2016. Her credits include Mega Shippers for Discovery, Scrap Kings for Quest and Viasat, and Help! My House is Haunted for UKTV.
“Last year was Back2Back’s most successful to date,” said David Notman-Watt, Back2Back’s founder and managing director, in a statement. “We posted a turnover of £3.9 million and this figure looks set to be beaten in 2018/19. Our dramatic growth is down to an exceptionally talented and hard-working team — a team that has now been strengthened by three highly experienced production team members. Anna, Claire and Mitzi will help us to harness the momentum of the last two years as we work to build the brands and returning series that are the DNA of our business.”
